kimberly rae's Journal, 22 April 2015

I've been gone from here and eating carbs, blah blah blah and that's how I felt too, but i'm back and paying attention again. Starting a green shake 10 day cleanse today. No carbs, dairy or processed anything. I'm kind of stoked. I want to feel good again, you know how it is... and I do love my green shakes but these are new recipes so we'll see. So far today, 1/2 my green shake, a boiled egg, a handful of peanuts and lots of water. Love to my buddies, let me catch up to all your happenings.

Okay everyone. Today's green shake was 2 handfuls of spinach, an apple, 2 cups water, 2 cups frozen berries and mixed fruit, scoop of protein powder, and 2 cups water. I was suppose to have flax seed but didn't have any yet... Then I had a raw veg salad w' peanuts lime and tahini as dressing. It was good. But everyday my shake will be different so I'll let you know.

Good job, kim. I agree the shakes are absolute nutrition. Easy to digest. Mine had no greens yesterday and I was out of bananas. So frozen berries, plain yogurt, almond milk (unsweetened) carrots, protein powder and some oats.

Yesterdays shake according to this particular 10-day cleanse I'm on was supposed to be made all at once and then drank three times throughout the day... But the afternoon this thing looked like some kind of science experiment gone wrong. Yuck. I will be making my shakes as I drink them thank you very much. Cutting the recipe in half and making them as I need them. Just so ya know, this recipe is not my favorite. But there are literally thousands of ways to make them. I will keep you up on each days shake. The green part just means it has healthy protein packed greens in there like spinach, Kale, chard, etc.
