Good job getting to the gym! Keep working on the eating--you will find a combination that works for you. :)

Hi! I struggled with that at first, but when I used salad plates for my three main meals with no seconds I was able to reach my calorie goals. If you have not tried that, then maybe that will help. Keep up the good work!

smaller plates are a great idea GDGDC! Nickie1982- it is hard to change everything at once! Good job on the gym time! Nice self-talk you are so right, not eating as much as you used to is a success!

Thanks BeGracious.....I'm just done being at the weight I'm at. I will succeed this time I am determined. I usually get down on my self and make myself feel worse this time I'm not doing that. I'm slowly learning that even the tiniest success is a success. It is sometimes hard to see but I've been doing good so far. I try to look for a positive action in myself or habits everyday and concentrate on that instead of my downfalls :)

Yes, every success is a success you have to applaud what you are doing right!
It was a shock for me to see how many calories I was eating as opposed to what I should be eating. So now I am just focusing on getting my portions and snacks down - choosing foods that fill me.
I figured out the weight I would like to be (my target) and then used a calculator to find out how many calories a lightly active person of that size eats. Now I focus on eating that amount of calories (and trying to get used to it) rather than focusing on losing weight.
