Yesterday was a typical weekend day. I did not do any exercises due to working a stressful 12 hour shift. Now I am back on my grind. I am happy to say I have maintained my weight and stayed within my calories. Believe it or not I took it really easy last week with a daily 1 hour on the treadmill and 20 minutes of weights each day (alternating upper body with lower body). I think that will be my maintenance workout since it worked so well. I stopped doing P90X last week because it was intense and I think I was getting burned out. Now I am contemplating whether or not I should pick it back up again or try something different...well I will decide in the next 9 minutes as I finish drinking this protein shake!

Is the intensity level the reason you are thinking of giving up P90X? Remember you can always adjust the workouts to lower the intensity if you feel it is too much. Always do what you feel is best though.

Well, I am not going to give it up, I am just not going to follow it according to the P90X plan. I am going to alternate it with other programs that I have. I also have other weight machines in my home that I like to use, like the weight bench and the roman chair. I like the mix of different things and I am coming to the realization that I like to mix it up a little. I know my results will vary, but I definetly see progress including toning and definition, as well as weight loss.
Thanks for your feedback!
