This is my first day on my diet. I didn't start the morning out well, but by the time lunch rolled around I came to my senses. I just finished a plain omelet and greens, and sat down with a glass of ice water. It actually wasn't that bad!

I am trying to follow the south beach diet with out having to buy the book. I will eventually buy it, but for now there is so much information on it for free on the internet, that I think I can get by for awhile without the book. It helps that is is similar to a previous diet I tried (6 week total body makeover), but thankfully less strict than phase 1 on the South beach diet.

After I get my son down for a nap, I'll take my first walk on my new treadmill! My goal for this week is 3 pounds.

Sounds like you're doing well, even without the book. Try checking at your local library. The SBD book and cookbooks provide so much info and so many yummy (and easy) recipes that I'd recommend reading one ASAP. Until then, welcome to "the Beach"!

Thanks for the comments! I slid off the wagon tonight, but tomorrow is a new day. Not going to beat myself up.. yet, lol.
