Day 2 of a fat fast, which runs through the end of the day tomorrow. I looked in the mirror this morning and actually look FATTER and SOFTER than I did a few days ago. But, after yet another argument with my wife related to dieting, I am absolutely and fully committed to losing ALL of the weight I want to lose by July 4th. I am 38 and I am determined I will not be a fat slob in my 40s. If it means literally starving, I will do it. If it means jogging 5 miles a day every day, I will do it. If it means drinking water until I piss my pants, I will do it. My body has been my enemy since I was in kindergarten, and I am tired of it winning.

You can do it, and you will, it just takes time and commitment. Stay the course and you will feel so much better.

Yep, it takes time and patience. I constantly struggle. For about three months I stayed on task but now I'm floundering. Trying to get back on track each day. I find I just cannot have any snack food around or I take one and thats leads to more n more till I'm stuffed. I have major trouble controlling my intake. (which is why I got overweight in the first place).
