Hi Sweny! I think I may have figured it out... although I don't think Google fit is terribly intuitive. You have to install google fit on your android device, then go to the "settings" in the fatsecret app to activate it. There should be an "on/off" switch in the settings menu. I don't know how well it works yet, but thanks for the idea!
