Sortafairytale's Journal, 21 January 2015

Just gonna say that yesterday I went WAY over my limit of 3 servings of artificial sweeteners a day. I had 2 servings of sugar free jello and 42 fluid ounces of Diet Coke. Whoa! I should've known better than to buy the 1.25 liter at work yesterday, but it was the last one and it had been forever since I had had a soda. But, it actually made me crave more once I started drinking it. I nursed that thing all day and evening. I even gave up having sugar free jello for dessert just so I could finish drinking it. No wonder they tell you not to drink diet soda. It really does make you crave more sweets. Today I'm sticking to 2 servings or less to make up for it. It really sucks to mess up right away for the week because now I have the whole week to wonder if it is going to affect my weigh-in next Monday. And, I refuse to cave and weigh-in early because I like seeing the larger drop in pounds for the week (i.e., 4 pounds this week), rather than see the scale go up and down all week long. It just works better for me.

Well, the point is that if I don't lose as much come weigh-in next Monday then I can just go back to this journal entry and remind myself of what I did wrong. That way I can't cuss the diet, just my personal choices, lol. Well, I'll be avoiding diet soda for a while I guess. Time to go back to herbal tea. I've got some iced black chai (no sweetener) waiting for me in the fridge. :)
