Drats, a 1.4 pound gain. I'm not going to freak out, unless this continues. IF it continues then I will need to see what is happening. I added the gym in this past week, so I worked out 3 days, and each day I did 40 min on the elliptical and light weights on arms and legs. I also had added in melon, honeydew and cantaloupe. I'm still going to continue with Atkins OWL phase II and this week add in cherries. But I am going to keep it at 25 net carbs. Working out is healthy for my body, so it can't be that.
I honestly think the issue might be the Atkins bars and treats. Although I have never had more than two of those products in one day, maybe my body doesn't tolerate those as much. I think I will back it up to one a day and see if that helps.
I bought three new dresses this weekend and two new blouses in a much smaller size. So gaining weight is not an option.
I'll have to take my measurements to see if I've lost any inches.

I wouldn't panic, unless it continues... Maybe you're adding muscle from working out and that's causing the gain? If so, that's a good thing, muscle burns more calories than fat does :) You're right about the atkins bar, though... I can tolerate one a day, but that seems to be my limit or I stall. Good luck to you!

Your muscles may be pumped up with extra fluid from your workouts. This is common when starting exercise. I wouldn't worry unless it becomes a trend and then you may need to look at your diet.

I had the same experience when I added in the bars and treats - maybe something in their recipe causes some water retention?

Thanks for the responses Jessberry, CatHerder, and jn-davis,
I think it could be my muscles recovering. Since they are a tad sore they may be pumped up with water to help them heal. And I'll just have to watch the Atkins bars/shakes products and be careful not to eat every day, nor too many. I am not worried. I'l see what next Monday's weight brings to me. Thanks again!
