Health has been a big issue for several years now. I was at 182 when things went into a tailspin. With pain making me feel defeated, I stopped calorie counting. The result, some 1500 days later, is a weight gain of more than 40 lbs. I have been back on carefully tracking calories for two weeks now...I'm preparing for a surgery in the summer, and need to lose some of this excess weight before then. The tough part is that I cannot exercise, the doctor doesn't want me doing anything I don't have to do. So pretty much everything rests on my diet. I try to be as active as my restrictions allow me to be. I have been a member of a co-op for a while now, and I'm now making that the center of my meal planning. If it's a food I don't have much experience with, I look up new ways to prepare it. I add veggies anywhere I can. Anything to increase veggie intake. I could tell a difference in my energy levels in just a week after changing my diet...it's a long way from where I would like, but it's a definite improvement. I have lost 5 lbs in two weeks, off to a decent start.

237.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 67.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.3 lb a week
