Just wanted to post a quick note to let my friends here know why I have been absent. For the past month I have been dealing with quite a bit of pain in the hip that I had replaced. After finally being sent for an MRI, it turns out I have a stress fracture in the bone behind the artificial hip socket. I'm on crutches, can't do ANY exercise (I'm told to rest it as much as possible), and am not eating well. Everything is so much work on these crutches that I'm having to rely on a lot of convenience food. I can actually feel the weight I'm gaining, and it's driving me mad. Can't do much until this bone is healed though, so I'll just make the best of it. As soon as I'm cleared by the doctor, I will be back on my plan. I see him the first week of January, and keeping my fingers crossed for good news.

So sorry for your pain, but it least they found out why. Try not to get too upset with some possbile weight gain. It will start coming off again when you can get back to your plan.

Thanks for the support. :) It's been a lot to deal with, and wasn't what I expected the tests to show. Never occured to me it might be a fracture. I just hope it's sufficiently healed by the time I go back in January.

Thanks info! I appreciate it. I've been reading up on my injury online and have decided I need to stop that. lol As a doctor once told me, self diagnose on the internet and you'll be sure you have something horrible. lol
