I should be proud of myself for my determination and accomplishments, but really I'm more angry that I let my weight get this far out of control. And I'm still highly motivated to stick to it, because I get results, but damn I'm tired of talking myself out of eating bad foods every day. I'm tired of arguing with myself in my head. 1/2 of me will say/think...Boy i'd really love italian/cheeseburger/a sandwich/smoothie ect right now, and the other side of my brain says "oh no, you don't wanna do that, it will set your weight loss back, just stick to it a few more months then you can eat bread and smoothies yet again"
I shouldn't have to have this conversation with myself every day. By now the part of my brain that keeps telling me to give in the cravings should be gagged and bound and realize that we can't stop now, we are not even 1/2 way done yet. Everyday I talk myself out of cheating on this plan, so you'd think my "ID" would get the damn message and quit bugging me on a daily basis about foods I shouldn't be having right now. That addicted part of my brain may never die and that is depressing

I understand the "angel" and the "devil" sitting on opposite shoulders whispering in your ear! I can only give you the encouragement to stay on plan and give you some assurance that the longer you do, the less of a battle it becomes. In some ways, that's an actual benefit of losing weight more slowly, as it gives yourself time to really get these new habits incorporated into your life so it's not such a daily battle. You might try treating yourself by plating your food on your best dinnerware (you know, the "special occasion" china...), or putting your beverages in something other than an everyday glass. Sometimes the presentation can fool that "devil" into thinking it's getting what it wants! You're doing great!!
