I'm doing okay today.

I had an emotional night last night; I found out that my grandma's alzheimers has gotten a lot worse since I saw her in January. She had to be placed in the psych ward at her hospital yesterday... I had no idea it had gotten so bad. I'm scared for her, and sad for everyone. I miss my grandma. I'm also feeling guilty for mourning her as if she's dead, when she's not. She just doesn't remember me, doesn't remember helping to raise me, doesn't remember anything...

I just have to remember that even though she doesn't have the memories anymore, I do. And I love her very much. :-(

The only good thing I have to report is that despite all of this emotional baggage, I managed to not do any "emotional eating" for the very first time in my life! I resisted the urge to order a pizza and sit on my ass, and instead went for a long walk.
205.0 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 10.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmom. I'm glad you still have those memories. :) On the diet front, good for you for nixing the emotional eating. That's extremely hard to do, especially in your situation. keep it up! :)
