Bible Bliss's Journal, 01 November 2014

A good Saturday. Registered with Weight Watchers this morning after getting on scale and seeing a very shocking 2lb gain. Not happy about that!! Now on track and brain in focus once again.

Too scared to go unaccountable and run this race alone. Love my online Weight Down classes, but a face to face community can be a very powerful tool for me. Met up with my girlfriend and her big Labrapoodle before dark and had a wonderful 5km walk in Mundy Park. Tomorrow have clearance from my physiotherapist to run 4 intervals and walk as long as tolerated.:) Love getting back into action!! Has been a long rehab.

No surprise about the weight gain. Have been in a joyful, lifechanging relationship for over two years, but last Monday my boyfriend pulled away for good. Said he didn't know how he felt about me anymore. I appreciate his honesty and knowing the truth, but there are no words for the devastation. Trying to keep incredibly busy. Hope the coming weeks get easier. Miss him immensely and trying hard not to hate him at the same time. Praise God for the blessings from that relationship and look forward to the future God has planned for my life.

So sorry Maria. Break ups can be hard.. Good that you have a support group. I think that will really help you. Now that Steve is doing this with me it is so much easier to stick to. You will get there. So will I.. It just takes time and dedication. I just wish I didn't love to eat so much.. lol I hope your run goes well but don't over do.. Take it slow and follow Doctor's orders. Hugs girlfriend and thanks for the emails.

Thanks Cathy.:) Hugs back!!! Weight Watchers meetings are a good thing for me because I have a lifetime membership, so as soon as I get to goal weight, the meetings will be free. Funny thing is, the numbers on the scale are close to my goal weight, but my measurements are way off, as I have not been running like I did before. Want to stay alert and practise discipline, self control. Meanwhile it's good to share positive changes and steps we are doing in our lives to get healthier with likeminded people.:) There is such power in community. I hear you about loving to eat. Weigh Down Ministries has been good for me in putting my passion for food under submission to God, but have to admit I've been a very slow learner. Baby steps all the way. ;-) Yes, we will get there God willing, and the journey is so much nicer being here:)

You are right. The exercise does make all the difference in how we shape once and when we are losing. I have been running everyday and doing weights. I think I may throw in a DVD once in a while too. It is so hard to know just what works. I do know that when I gained this time my body was like something I never saw before..lol Old age lol and that was depressing. So happy I found the motivation to do this all over again and just hope and pray that I am smart enough this time to not think I can have whatever I want. lol There are consequences. Happy Day!
