SaintViper's Journal, 19 April 2011

I did much better yesterday than I have been doing. I plan on keeping it up. Getting up in the morning seems to be getting easier now that I don't need a caffeine jump start to get things moving.

My swimming for triathlons class went well and the instructor has some useful tips. I was hoping to meet some people I could train with running and biking as well as swimming but there's only one other guy in the class and he has a way to go before he's ready to do serious training.

The running is going well. I start week 2 of C25K tomorrow. I had some minor knee pain during and after the first couple sessions. That seems to be getting better. No pain at all yesterday while running and the pain I had after went away quickly.

This weather is not working for bike riding. High's are supposed to be in the mid-50's this time of year so I'm waiting for 50 degree days to get out and ride. Most of the time lately though, high's have been in the low 40's and lately not even breaking into the 40's at all. Just when I decided to break out my real cold weather gear to suck it up and ride in the cold, the forecast calls for up to 10 inches of snow today. It will melt quickly though so maybe by the weekend I'll be able to get the bike out. If not, I may have to consider setting up the trainer.
