YOU'RE AMAZING.

This takes so much focus and discipline. Today, for the first time in a very long time, I counted every single thing I ate. (Before I'd used FS to calculate calories and stay w/in 500-calorie budget each meal.) It's tedious, it's time-consuming, it's tough to stick to when you have many other tasks waiting. But I did it and I realized that you all are doing this every single day.

Some of you are cancer survivors, some are recovering from surgery, some have lifelong food issues, some have jobs which require being on the road and preclude you from consistent healthy eating. But you're all doing it.

Everyone, stop being so hard on yourselves! I hope you all will do something nice for yourself this week. Get a pedicure, book a massage, turn your phone off for the afternoon. Do something! You deserve it. :)

Thank You JW :) I think we have a pretty amazing group of people here too! We *are* accomplishing a great deal & yes,it *is* "tedius, time consuming, & tough to stick with", for all the reasons you mention & more. But,like you said,we *are* "all doing it." :) *Maybe* because we realize how important it is to get it done. Or, *maybe* because we know how *easy* it is for us to let things slide. Maybe both. :) It's very kind of you to remind us,as Deb mentioned,to *be good* to ourselves. That, too, is easy to forget. But being "hard"(not *too* hard) on ourselves isn't a bad thing,it's actually good for us. As your opening words said: "It takes much *focus* & *discipline*." :) Those are beneficial traits to cultivate that will ensure our success at what so many people fail at. Being "a cancer survivor, recovering from surgery, having lifelong food issues or jobs that preclude us from consistent healthy eating" *isn't* a reason to *not* give it all we got . They are reasons *to* give it all we got. :) We aren't killing ourselves by being determined & steadfast to get into a healthy weight by doing our best to adhere to a healthy lifestyle. We are killing ourselves by being *too lenient* in our efforts to do what deep down we all know we should be doing. None of us joined fat secret because we want to be enabled in living a lifestyle of obesity. We joined because we want & *need* encouragement & motivation & support to help us do what we KNOW *must* be done. How did you feel today when you "for the first time in a very long time," counted every single thing you ate? Didn't you feel great, even tho' it took so much time & effort?! I hope so!!!:) And, I hope that you will feel great each & every time that you put in all you got to reach your goals. If you don't,I hope you will be helped here by all of our buddies thru our comments & posts & activities & EVERYTHING to feel great in time. It's worth ALL effort! :)
