Welcome! Track all your foods and you can see what you are doing right or wrong. My advice would be to take a vitamin every day and eat some vegetables instead of crackers. Your body needs good nutrition. Exercise or walk every day. Good luck!

Don't lose hope. Think about upping your activity a little and pulling back on the breads/pastas/grains. Add protein to your diet. You've had a good start with logging your food, but the calorie count isn't the only thing you have to look at....you also have to pay attention to the quality of food you consume. Increasing the protein will help you build more muscle which in turn will help you to increase your activity level. Limiting your breads will help you feel less sluggish and will also help your activity. Also, make sure you eat throughout the day so your blood sugar remains level.

Well after my many "starts" I seem to be sticking with it this time. Two weeks done now. About 5-6 lbs down. I am hoping for a steady 2 lbs a week. Yesterday I hurt all over, I didn't think I would walk at all yesterday but I ended up doing more steps than ever. I did my morning walk but I just told it easy. Later I ran some errands and when I came back I mowed the lawn. I made 20,000 steps. I know today I won't as I am again not so sure I will walk, it may be a good idea for me to go slow today as I'm quite sore and not a good sore. All this extra weight on my frame and the added exercise is being very hard on my knees. I am also having some back pain, perhaps I don't have a good stance when walking. Anyone else have some of these issues when they first started walking?
