did good last night, stayed away from the strawberries & almonds. I know that they aren't 'bad' foods BUT for me right now they are no-nos since I cannot limit myself and tend to overindulge. I'll add them in limited quantities after I've gotten to where I feel more confident in my will power. I also should avoid weighing myself every day. That is a tough one for me, but I will work on it. At least I am keeping on the plan. It is tough but I have to keep on this track for ME. Tomorrow will be a full day taking my mom to the library, museum and blouse shopping at Bealls outlet. I think I'll pickup a couple nice ones for me. I'm trying to take more pride with my appearance and get away from wearing TShirts to work everyday. Even though sometimes at work I don't see anyone outside of my 2 coworkers, it is still something that will help my mood. (I really don't like my job and feel like I'm stuck at times, but it is what it is.) BUT no more downer talk here! I'm doing the best I can with what I have in my current situation. :-)

Sounds like you're on the right track. It's one day at a time. Don't beat yourself up. I don't know if you have the time, something that helped me with portion control was to put a limited amount of almonds in a zip lock bag. I allow myself to eat the almonds in one zip lock. I get 7 bags ready for the week, and reuse them when needed. I only put 9 almonds in the bag. Ya, I know, why bother. It's enough to fill my mouth and once all chewed down I drink a glass of water and that fills me up. I guess the same thing can be done with the strawberries. I LOVE strawberries. Do what you need to do for you. Don't give in to the urges, just think of the prize.

I liked everything you said. Not beating ourselves up like estspooh puts it's capital! Also buying nice things for yourself... Even though you work always with the same people, you will feel different. It's never about them anyway...it's always about us. Besides, I believe you deserve to be kind to yourself. Thank you for asking me to be your buddy!:)
