dm_lytle's Journal, 16 April 2009

I weighed in last night and I have lost ten pounds since I started March 2nd. YEAH! I am doing better today so far. I woke up and had 100 crunches done before I got in the shower. I have had 1/2 apple and working on my 1 cup of grapes. I may only eat 1/2, and my 4 ounces of cran grape juice. I had one 12oz bottle left and I split between me and the girls. I am pretty sure my 1.5 pound loss in two days time was water weight I am finally getting off. I just felt lighter on my feet yesterday. We are going to feed the horses this morning, and then wash the truck and go clean the church before lunch. I am so excited I found an extra bag of chicken breast in the freezer last night so I don't have to stress over dinner tonight. I know simple minds are easily amused. It doesn't take a lot to make my day. Well I will update later on what I am able to get done today, with exercise. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday.
UPDATE
I fed the horses, washed the truck, and ate lunch. I have not made it to the church yet, but will head that way at 2pm when the girls wake up from nap. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup for lunch. I have done another 100 crunches.

I am looking into some races. I figure if I can get 3 miles in 45 minutes or less walking on the treadmill with inclines and declines and speed variations why can't I do it on concrete. What a better way to have fun and get in shape than a 5k walk/run race. I can even get some training in for running too. There is one May 2nd. May 16th. June 13th. and Oct. 3rd. My goal is to do the 10k Oct. 3rd because that is my birthday. It just means I have to start making sure I give myself enough time to walk the 3 miles on the treadmill everyday until race day for sure. I just have to figure out which ones I can go to. Would it be realistic to do two 5K races in one day. There are two on May 2nd. and the one in the evening would be fun for the whole family. It ends at the ball park and you get free tickets to baseball game. What better way to spend time with the family than to get them out exercising and watch a baseball game. I would have to put Chelsea in the stroller, her little legs couldn't make it all the way, but I think Michael could. He walked 2 miles with me and wanted to go farther.

Great job of the loss, you sure earned it. I think it is so great to find dinner that chicken that you did not know you had. In our house, that is a huge celebration because it is money saved and so much better to be stress free when it comes to those simple things.
