I have been stuck now for what seems like forever, but is only a few weeks...i managed to get one pound off since, but the slowness is excruciating.

Have been bumping up the cardio and strength training and got a new exercise bike last weekend, and have been sticking to my WOE religiously, so something should be showing on the scale soon. My hubby says I am putting on muscle and he can see it, but it's hard to get excited about it when I have a weight goal to reach.

I am trying really hard not to put too much pressure on myself, as it is creeping up to my one year mark at the end of next month....I'm struggling and frustrated with my weight loss not being better at this stage and I am very goal oriented, and this drives me NUTS.

All I can do though is what I am already doing-I cant go back and change what happened a few weeks ago when I got off track, and I cant go UN-EAT anything I ate during that time.

I am wearing a shirt that used to fit me snugly just a few short months ago, and it was one of my favorites...it now swims on me. I am trying to focus on that and not the lack of change on the scale this morning.

You may be gaining muscle, so don't despair. Just keep doing what you are doing and remember that Rome was not built in a day." Stay focused on your goal and it should all come together for you. Don't focus so much on the scale, start taking body measurements, which is better than weight loss. Keep up the good work and good luck!!!

Remember the number for weight is only one number, and muscle is denser than fat. You may not be moving on the scale, but maybe the focus now should be on losing inches rather than pounds? Just a thought. Don't give up! You're making healthy changes which are showing, and that's so much more important than any number.

Think of the big picture. You've lost 82% of the weight you want to lose. You've lost 82 lbs in one year. Those two things are incredible alone! Plus, you're adding muscle, which is better than losing weight. I started at 270 lbs and it got tough around 184 lbs. My weight loss really started slowing down. I lost the next 20 lbs with very low-calorie and not exercising (DON'T DO THAT!), but my size did NOT change - the weight I lost was muscle! So, now I'm working out again and adding the muscle back, and my weight is rising and I may end up back at 184. But that's okay, because it's better to have more muscle on my body and see a higher number on the scale, because I'll be the same size as "me" 20 lbs lighter, than simply seeing a lower number on the scale. Muscle is healthy. A lack of muscle is not. Ultimately, the scale is not that important (if you're healthy and not significantly overweight). At this point - being close to your goal weight - you should focus on toning up through exercise, and watch your progress in your clothing size and measurements. Be proud of what you've accomplished and keep up the great work!

I know exactly how you feel, I've been going through these phases as well, and the are frustrating the heck out of me. Like you I am very goal oriented. But all the wonderful people on here told me to just stick with it, it will come off and it did. So breathe and keep going, you can be proud of yourself for all that you have accomplished so far. Your body is just being stubborn, but in the end it has no choice to change, if you keep it up.
