Frazzemrat's Journal, 20 June 2014

So, its been a very rough week. I had to rush my eldest to the hospital on Monday with severe abdominal pain. They ended up admitting her. They ruled out appendicitis, all her tests were clean, nothing there. They let her go on wed with the diagnosis of an eating disorder. She had to make an appointment with a psychologist in order to be released.

Now, I'm actually happy that she was diagnosed finally with an eating disorder. The child has been battling one since she was 15, (she's 18 now). She was never diagnosed or treated because she refused to talk to a psychologist about it. If you don't talk, you won't get better. Perhaps some of it was fear. She's got a long road ahead of her, but after talking to her last night, it doesn't seem like she's even going to want to walk that road. She said she has no emotional response (fear, anger, upset) to everything that's happened this week. Hopefully she's just numb. God, I hope she's just numb.

Over the course of this I lost 5 lbs.... not the way I wanted to lose it. Stress isn't a good diet plan....

Oh, to give you a mental picture.... she's 5'5, medium build, and probably 115 right now. And yes, she thinks she's overweight.
If anybody has advice to help support somebody who's in this situation..... Please... I'd appreciate anything.
