MOM2JEM's Journal, 23 March 2009

I was a bad girl today. First, I skipped breakfast. We were going to the gym after we dropped Jazmyn off at school. I didn't make anything to eat. For lunch, we went to Tony Roma's. I had some Mahi Mahi, blackened. It was pretty tasty. As one of my sides though, I had a baked potato with all the trimmings. It tasted soooooo good! I know it's not the end of the world.

On a positive note, hubby took me to the golf store to buy me some clubs. He wants to teach me to play golf. He thinks I'll like it more than archery because I'm the outdoorsy type and the bow was only going to be used at the range since I'm not into hunting. Hubby used to play golf in high school. My FIL plays golf and was thrilled that my hubby was going to try and get me into it. I had to be all girly, so I got a pink & gray golf bag, a pink towel, pink tees, and a pink & white glove. My hubby was laughing at me because of my girly colors, but do I care? NOPE! He's getting some new/used clubs, but has to have them lengthened by 1". They should be done by Wednesday, so guess where we're going Wednesday (or Thursday)?! Yup, the driving range. If it's anything like it was when I was learning raquetball, it should be VERY interesting and FUNNY!

Well, off to get dinner. L8ers!

Thanks Deana! It should be quite an adventure for me considering I'm pretty clumsy. Knowing me, I'm going to come home with an injury. I'm really looking forward to getting started. My hubby's getting anxious for his clubs to be ready.

Thanks Girly! I think it was a surprise to my metabolism because I lost 2 lbs in 2 days. It does feel good to be girly because I'm such a tomboy! I'm the jeans (or capris) & t-shirt kind of girl. I only dress up if I have to. Sometimes, I'll get a wild hair up my @ss and put on make-up just to pick up my daughter at school, or something simple like that. I'm starting to straighten my hair more often than I used to. I'm thinking I'll start wearing more girly clothes when I get closer to my goal weight.

Thanks Moose! I think the baked potato was exactly what I needed. I can't even remember the last time I even had one! LOL
