Snow this morning ... probably 4 inches or so. The nice, heavy, wet stuff for those of you who know your snow!!! Joy!!!

I knew it would happen. I'd almost reach my goal and I'd fluctuate up for a bit before I went down again. And, indeed, that is what is going on!! No worries though, I'm surprisingly not disturbed by it this time. And ... there was another attack of the pistachios in my house last night!! LOL!!! It was me. I bought a bag of pistachios when I was at Costco earlier this week. Hubby's fault though. He brought them upstairs while we were watching "Whip It." I guesstimated how many I ate. Didn't count. They sure were tasty and I decided to think of it as fluctuating my caloric intake to confuse my metabolism!!! Needless to say ... I need to skip the nuts tonight!!

21 days from now I will be getting ready to board a plane to fly to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for two glorious weeks of rest and relaxation!!!

Not much else to report. I was very tired yesterday. Hubby suggested taking a day off exercise but I couldn't do it this morning. I just feel so much better when I do exercise. Maybe tomorrow. Didn't sleep great either. A few hot flashes lately ... I hope they are not coming back like they were before!! Anyway, overall, things are fine.

Grateful this morning as always ... today for

1. handling fluctuations without worry

2. tomorrow is FRIDAY and payday

3. looking forward to picking my mom up at the airport on Saturday

4. counting down the days to Mexico (and so looking forward to hearing all about Cathy's trip which is coming much, much sooner!!)

5. my wonderful buddies here on fatsecret who make me laugh, make me think, and keep me company!!!

Another day, another opportunity to shine!! Kindness remains in the forefront of my mind as I take every day to practice being kind to myself and remembering that where I am in this moment is just fine. Be good to yourselves, stay the course, don't give up on the process!!!

Take care buddies!!

Whip it... huh.... Hey, whatever tickles your pickle!!! LOL Didn't I tell you NO MORE NUTS IN THE HOUSE! Evan brought in a HUGE jar of peanuts a month or so ago - every time I went into the kitchen, I'd grab a handfull. I'm happy to say they are out of the house now! Anyway, you sound great, and (though I can't see you) look great too! Have a good day buddy!!!

Hi Carol! You do sound great! I ate those pistachios yesterday too. I just love them..They are so good for you. Eat them but measure.. Your turn to begin the countdown as I am getting close to the wire and getting more nervous by the day. I had considered a day off from exercising too but didn't take one but I think we both could use one...Maybe tomorrow. I posted the link on my journal for you and on FB..

Moooooose, and whoooooo bought the pistachios? Hmmmmmm? LOL, love those things too. I don't dare buy them, or I would eat them until my mouth literally burned. VACA yay, here you come. Gosh 21 days. Whine.....everybody is getting a vacation....I want one too.....whine... Hey, while I'm remembering, I put a recipe in my journal a couple of days ago (Tuesday? maybe) for a "sundae" that is supposed to shake you up and jump start a plateau. I'm going to try it, just have not purchased all the ingredients yet. I'll let you know. Be a good girl now and stay away from the nuts! (also the ones in the bag) hahahahahaha

Hi Carol, you are sounding very good these days, glad you are 'back'. Your weight will take care of itself if you keep practicing kindness and (some) restraint. not long now til your vacation. I know I am loving mine!

Hi Moose, I am happy to hear you have decided not to let the snow bother you because that is a big step by changing what would have emotionally frustrated you with perceived negative thoughts by not letting it effect your mood which turns it into positive. It may not be an ideal day but is much better when we make it an I-Deal day:)With practice it gets better and better. TOWANDA!!!!

Good job exercising! No more nuts! I have nuts in my house too, and I not only eat them by the handful, I toss some on every meal. And raisins too.
