Slept well, though woke up very dry-mouthed,

Since my BS is a bit more than I'd like I am going to do a bit of testing various amounts of carbs to see if the number of carbs I am eating is making it too high. So will also record TIMING of eating to see if I can pin point why it is going or staying too high.

Ate breakfast at 7:45 and decreased the irish oatmeal to 3/4 cup instead of a cup and increased milk to 1 cup from 1/3, and dropped off the apple. so that carbs were 37.4 grams, fiber 7 grams, protein 14.4, and fat 11 grams.

Will check at 1 hour and 2 hours and see how it is running. At one hour it was 162 (about the same as yesterday at one hour) I ate supper at about 7:00 and had a snack o f 1 cup oj at 10, and it is 10:50 now and Blood sugar is 120, so not too bad at all...I forgot I had eaten the snack when I tested--should have waited a while longer.

NO edema this morning at all but forgot to weigh before I ate and drank.

Went to town and got my labs from doc's office, HA1C was still 6.1 (average BS 137) the same as 6 months ago. everything else was NORMAL AND GOOD.

Weight in heavy sweats when I got back from town was 190.6 so will weigh in the morning for a weight check in. Probably haven't "lost' any appreciable weight since I left for Texas 4 weeks ago, but at least haven't gained any!

went to health food store and found sodium free BAKING POWDER!!! WHOOPIE!!!!! also some "also salt" brand salt subsititue and some spices too.

Haven't been hungry since i ate this morning. We did get some candy and I ate 92 calories worth and 16 mg of sodium (gave the rest of it to david to help me not eat the rest, so he can dole it out to me! LOL Can resist anything except temptation.
