Good day! I'm trying to break my plateau by refocusing on counting calories and stepping up the intensity of my treadmill workouts. I've pegged 1200-1300 calories as my daily range. Somedays it just doesn't feel like 'enough' and other days I have to push myself to actually eat that much --- those being my busier days. So that was probably my problem before: eating too much on some days and not enough on others, rather than a level amount each day. The scale is beginning to budge... not much, but in the right direction. My treadmill workouts are getting REALLY boring... it's been over 2 months of that. We are just a few weeks away from good spring weather in Wisconsin, so I can take it outside thankfully. Not today though, as we are expecting to get blasted by another snow storm--looking for 8" today and tonight. I am SO sick of this long winter. Arg. The only thing that makes me smile is that when it finally IS shorts weather, I'll be in pretty good shape. I must go; my treadmill is calling my name.

I can relate to being tired of winter!! We here in North Idaho just got blasted with another storm ... everything, and I mean, everything is now white outside again!! I watch pieces of movies or tv series I have on DVD while I use my elliptical. It keeps me distracted enough during my workout that I don't get as bored. Hang in there!! Spring is just around the corner!

Actually, rotating eating less and then more prevents plateaus. Look into calorie cycling. It may help you find a way to eat exactly the amount of food you need, depending on your schedule. But man, do I hear you on the winter...
