We went to lunch at saltys today for a christmas celebration/appreciation day, It was so elegant and right on the Columbia river (I reccomend this to anyone visiting Portland oregon) We saw an eagle or an osprey sitting on one of the pileons we had a great debate over which one it was , I had the smoked grilled salmon, with extra vegatables and apple chutney, it was soooo good, I had them leave out the garlic mashed potatoes and they added extra vegatables,Very good host... which was brocKalini a cross pollniated species of kale and broccoli. I wasnt sure how to add this to my food journal so I put 1 cup of broccoli and 1/2 cup of Kale???? I was so worried that I would over eat but Im very happy with my choices and the calorie count. After we did the group picture for the lab week photo. the weather is very grey but we had a beautiful double rainbow over the river as we were leaving...stock market is down again today it may hit 6500 yet which I predict will be the bottom, I am still buying up(what I can afford) options on GE for 2011...because I am forever the optimist and I beleive life is made so much better when we have HOPE.
