FitOKay's Journal, 27 March 2014

I am not weighing in today and I am not tracking food or exercise. It has been weeks since I skipped doing either and I feel like I just need a break. I'll still be eating normally and exercising, just not tracking it (and not putting it in at evening like I've done befor when I said it was a no track day, lol). I feel like tracking has become a little too obsessive and I need to take a tiny step back. I may take the next few days off and then do my normal computer weigh in Sunday, then pick tracking back up Monday.

That said, yesterday was a total success. I went to McDonald's without getting out of my calorie range for the day. I planned and stuck to it. I rang in the day at 1288, 12 calories under my high end range (1100-1300 calorie range). It may seem a little odd after such a tracking success to feel the need for a break, but the two aren't related (and if we decide to eat out I'll probably plan the calories again lol, but no plans to eat out again this week). I've just tried a couple times now to take Sunday off and even so I am always thinking of tracking. Good to an extent, but too much also. Just need a little step back to realign my thoughts.

I am also trying to lower my higher calorie days down to a 1400-1500 range rather then 1500-1600. When I've hit my weight loss goal 1400-1500 will be my maintenance calorie range. So if I can get use to that being as high as I ever go I'll be a step farther along on maintenance as a habit when I get there.

Hope everyone is have a wonderful Thursday!

This can drive you nuts if we don't step back every once in a while.

Congrats on the macdonalds success that's really strong of you and good luck with the no tracking! I'm thinking of having a few days break too:-)

Way to go! Everyone needs a beak now and again and it sounds like you deserve it.

It does have that obsession feel to it sometimes lol. I can't remember how it was to eat food for an entire day without measuring it first. It's like a reflex now heheheh ;)

Thanks sign =) Euheide, it is! I didn't track today but I still know exactly how many calories I ate from this automatic running total going in my head. Idk if thats a good thing or a bad thing, lol. It makes it easier not to overeat, but yeah... obsess much?

I've been on breaks, long ones, and I can tell you that they do you good. Congrats on still staying within your limits at Mickey D's. That is such a tough thing to do. I could eat a bucket of fries. Fortunately, they no longer have that here. Lolz
