Wonderful, wonderful, breakfast/brunch this morning. must remember that for the future (probably tomorrow). Am going to try the spicy carrot dip found on here. looking for something different for my lunch sandwiches as a spread instead of the usual mayo and mustard. have tried guacuamole or plain advacado but since it browns just like sliced apples and the only solution is lemon juice or sour cream to cover. it just never lasts and gets all yuckey looking by day 3. I do hummus as a spread and that is also very yummy.

I am looking for an alternative for breakfast though. WHEN I am on track I usually do a seasoned boneless, skinless breast but after almost a year of that it is a bit boring. I save eggs for the weekend for personal reasons. I am tempted to try some fish for breakfast if I can make ahead and warm or I will just make a big bowl of broccoli salad with sunflower seeds and try that for the summer.

I have a problem with having my grains and starch first thing in the morning. when I do I am usually starving by 9 am and go through half my lunch. this is why I do a higher protein in the morning. it sustains me and keeps me alert. I can get by with my one cup of coffee and protein breakfast with a piece or 2 of fruit around 10 am than I can with having something like oatmeal and starving an hour later. this is why I have drastically reduced my white starches and most of my sugars. the cravings are too great to conquer and I tend to binge eat.

I also have a problem with dairy first thing in the morning. I can have a little bit (the 2% milk in my coffee) but if I have a bowl of cereal or yogurt or heaven forbid, a glass of milk, I get very nauseous. it's like the milk just curdles in my stomach and I cant stand it. I have been this way since I was a child. so dairy is out for breakfast. So I am left with fruit, protein and veg for breakfast.

If I am to believe the internet it sounds like I have a bacterial/yeast imbalance and if it is true I may have. I think I just have a problem with wheat and wheat products. I do not exclude them completely, lets face it who can with the American diet. between corn syrup and wheat practically all the foods have them in one form or another. with budgets being so tight who can go completely organic. I cant. I have to make compromises somewhere.

Actually broccoli salad for breakfast does not sound too bad. I get fiber, protein, veg, reasonable amount of fats if I use a olive oil based mayo, fruit if I include dried cranberries and raisons. hmm... yeah I think I will include that a couple of times a week or half my chicken and include a cup of salad.

anyway enough with my prattle. Just want to say how proud I am of myself that I am a little way from my latest all time low of 253.4 (yay me). I think I needed that month off to jump start my life again. and here's looking to the next 50 pounds. my you be shed and never to return like the last 60.

Happy weekend all!!!
