Failure is only a fact when you give up. Everyone gets knocked down, the question is: Will you get back up?

I believe I gave Evelyn this bit of wisdom last week.... I need to read it now...

I didn't work this past week and I took my dad to 3 different drs. appts. I guess I just went crazy with my thinking. No excercise (other than I day at curves), no good eating habits, no drinking water! Well, I see what damage can be done in one weeks time and I need to pick myself up again and get back in gear. I am finding it hard to stick after the first of the year. I don't want to damage all that I have accomplished last year. Summer is coming upon us fast and I want to put those clothes on with confidence.

I MUST DO THIS!!!

I am back to a full week at work this week. I bought some flavored water and I have plenty of things for healthy lunches this week. I can do this!

I am thankful for the support of this site. I will also set my mind to visit you all often on here!

Have a great week!!

Wise words, indeed : ) I have been struggling to get my "mojo" back since after New Years, too. First it was the undoing of the damage from Christmas and then just trying to get back in the groove. You and I started on this site just a couple of weeks apart so I think we are at similar places in our headspace. The journey has lost the sparkle of newness and is now becoming more mundane and methodical. Try to find something to spice it up for yourself. Make a mini-goal, promise yourself a little reward if you stay on track for a set period of time, try a new recipe, brew a new flavor of tea you've never tried. Any or all of these things might help kick start your motivation. Good luck. I know you can do it!

Geez - you two sound like you're talking about a mid-life crisis! :) I guess I need to prepare for that when it's my turn. Maybe you need to find your 'little red sports car of food' to satisfy you. Good luck ChefC! I know you can do it, too!!
