purple, yellow, green and regular cauliflower. who knew? there was only one piece of the purple though. that was a little disappointing.

When my girls were little I would buy purple potatoes, purple cauliflower and carrots and have a purple dinner. They got a real kick out of it . I almost always made mashed potatoes with mashed orange carrots and cauliflower. Tried to make dinner time a food adventure . DID YOU KNOW—- carrots are actually genetically modified. Originally, way, way back in history they were white and purple. A farmer had some that came up an orangish color and proceeded to breed them to develope crops of the orange once in honor of their Lord of the manner and leader, William of Orange. They were so popular that the orange color became the dominant breed.
