Snow Day! And lovely weather aside…I couldn’t be happier!
Well my weight was up a hair today, and yet I remain undiscouraged because I know that this “daily fluctuation” is not a result of any “diet” mishap, but just regular “shifts.” (How many different quotes can I use in one sentence?)
I feel great. Was planning on starting to work out today, and mother nature helped me out in that department….8 inches of snow on a large corner lot…45 minutes of serious shoveling! A glorious outside way to work out!
However this is not why I am proud of myself…not because my weight fluctuations are taking in stride…not because I found the joy of fitness…but because despite my typical habits I stayed on track. Normally snow days mean hot cocoa, fresh baked cookies, big bowls of creamy soups, grilled cheese sandwiches and constant snacking.
And I….queen of temptation…resisted it all! Stuck to healthy eating all day…but I did give into the healthy temptation of a good book!
