I've been stuck in the same weight spot for three weeks now, even though I've been sticking with my calorie intake plan pretty accurately (that plan being -200 to -500 net every day). I'm trying to stay reasonable about it, even though it's starting to work on my nerves. I know that I've started working out (FINALLY!) and my muscles are very sore and thus retaining a lot of fluid which hinders the dropping of weight. But soon enough I'll start seeing some results.
As for working out, I've tried Insanity for two days and decided it was too much for me right now -- mostly mentally, I guess, but I DO know when to change my path instead of aiming for failure. So instead of working myself out to tears of anger, I put my hands on Slim in 6 with Debbie Siebers and I must say it's pretty nice. The pace is not very fast so it might seem like a low-impact workout but that's not really what it's about. These workouts demand a lot of stamina to finish all the moves in one go. I've already tried two dvds out of three and while they might be monotonous to do for 6 weeks, I think I'll stick with them for the time being and see what changes about my body.
