I'm really getting the hang of this 'meal logging'. One side-effect I've found .. I won't eat anything that I can't find 'Nutritional Information' on. When I make something from scratch at home (and I'm usually the one that does), I enter in all the ingredients and create a 'recipe', so I can record my caloric intake.

That's WAY more attention that I've ever paid to what I eat .. :-)

I think recording what you eat is so important. I often "scenario model" a future meal to see the impact before I eat it. If I really want it but it's high in calories I can do some extra exercise or activity to make it work or I can walk away from it all together. Works great when you are going out to dinner. I look up menus online and then decide before I get there what I'm going to have. That way I can relax and enjoy the experience without fretting and wondering if I'm doing ok.

You know I have never actually looked them up before I went out to dinner. That's a great idea. I have been trying to cut down on eating out altogether, especially when its lunch and I am on my own. I've been brown baggin which is helping a lot.
