I have to write about pasta this morning. For the last 6 months I couldn't understand why I couldn't lose weight. my breakfast was 1 cup of oatmeal, coffee and my lunch was the same everyday. 1 cup of pasta with Ragu sauce and then dinner was a lean cuisine. WELL,I am here to tell you it was the PASTAaside from the fact i wasn't having much protein)I THOUGHT 1 cup of pasta was such a small amount but it seemed to satisfy me and I didn't question it. Well THANKS to FATSECRET I found out that your only suppose to have 1/2 a cup of DRY pasta. What I was eating was over 78 carbs just for LUNCH!! not to mention almost 500 calories!!! The reality of SERVING SIZES AMAZES ME![/b]!!And the funny thing is when I was looking through the amy's products I didn't want to get the rice bowl because I thought 250 calories for lunch was too many calories!!!go figure...KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!!

Yes a food scale, measuring cups and spoons can be a weight loss person's best friend. I try to eat high fiber pasta and measure out 1 cup (cooked). I don't eat pasta every day, but I love Italian food. Weight loss is a learning process.

Lol I hear ya, serving sizes are ridiculous. But the key is to eat less but more often.
