MY 60-DAY LIQUID FAST
Counting Down To My Slim Down
Day 53/60

Good Morning!

I'm feeling ok today. Very relaxed and unfettered. Not as much energy as before but it’s cold in the city today. Coming into work this morning I was thinking that I will go ahead and alternate water and protein days during the low carb phase of the cycling week. I feel like I breezed through the water day 2 days ago. I will just stay hydrated and calm as much as possible. I have a very stressful job and I know that water fasts help reduce the stress hormones and blood pressure. All I know is that I need like a gallon of hot tea to get me through most of this cold day.

What I am finding interesting is that once you remove every ounce of food from your stomach, bowels and glucose from the blood stream and get in tune with your body its funny that you can actually feel its reaction to every item you put in it. Too much salt you swell a bit as water is retained. Too many carbs the release of fatty acids from fat cells halts. As a 300 pound person (or just shy of that today!), I am starting to notice that it does not take too many carbs for my weight loss to really slow down. I oxidize food quickly it seems. I trained it well with all those trips to get french fries and strawberry shakes from McDonald's at midnight.

I was reading an article recently that children with epilepsy are put on very low carb and calorie diets to stop seizures. They live their entire lives like that. If they can do this then I can. I have picked up a few containers of low sodium chicken broth and will be adding that more throughout the day to change it up a bit with something savory as just water is too monotonous.
