I have been very successful following a 1500 calories a day diet. When I started my diet 5 weeks ago I weighed in at 424 lbs. I am partially disabled so it is tough for me to exercise, with the exception of some walking. Even with this I have lost 30 lbs. I am on a low-fat primarily vegetarian diet. But, I do add skinless boneless chicken breast, and fish to my diet. I love cooking and have found many ways to prepare meals without fat. I have completely excluded cheese from my diet. I feel that the benefit out weighs the pleasure.
