Well, I lost what I gained over my crappy food/sick week. However! I'm back at my damn plateau weight.
::Felt like adding more:: I just realized that 2.4lbs in a week is... quite a bit. My best so far, I guess. I'm actually quite surprised at it, since I wasn't 100% on the healthy stuff and only exercised one day the past week for 30 mins. Well, maybe we could count the standing and jumping around for 4 hours at a Dropkick Murphys concert on Monday? Still... I'm going to stick with what I've been doing and see how it works out.
I'm not on an Atkins diet... and don't really understand Atkins. Mainly with my diet I try to stick with 1400-1600 calories a day and a good balance of nutritious food. I WAS eating plenty of carbs as long as they were whole wheat and whole grain. But I've been avoiding them more lately because I wondered if that would help get me off the plateau. I would usually pack my desk with low-calorie dry snacks like granola/cereal bars and stuff like that. I cut back on those too and have been trying to snack mostly on fruits, veggies, nuts, peanut butter, etc. I've also backed off on dairy... Not intentionally, I've just been sick of cheese sticks and yogurt lately... When I was sick I bought a big bottle of ReaLemon for tea with honey and lemon... Well I decided I would go ahead and start adding it to my water since a few people have mentioned how it kinda helps around here.. Plus it tastes better. Apparently it certainly doesn't HURT. I don't know if any of this in particular is directly related to the huge loss this week, but I think I'll stick with it for another week at least and see how it works. I hope it does... The way I've been eating is really reasonable and easy for me to do right now...
Now if I can just manage to get my BUTT OUT OF BED early enough to gym it up in the mornings!
