100poundz2health's Journal, 08 November 2010

I'm having a horrible time right now and i really don't want to slide back into emotional eating. I just did some research the last couple of days on my husband's kidney problems(due to diabetes) I'm so angry, scared and depressed by what I found through my research. We have been together 12 years and I so worried about his health. Every time we get part of his stuff under control, more medical probs seem to pop up and it just keeps snowballing. I'm trying really hard to take care of myself so I can take care of my family. I just wish we could catch a break!! The last 2 years have been such a struggle for us. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Don't start emotional eating. I did that a couple weeks ago after loosing our pet. Is your husband on a diet also? I will keep you in my prayers.

Yes, he is. He follows a diabetic diet, a high blood pressure diet and a renal failure diet. So needless to say, that doesn't leave a whole lot that he CAN eat. I also just found out that artificial sweeteners are horrible for his kidneys. He has stage 4 renal failure. Thank you, I appreciate you keeping us in your prayers.

Sorry I just saw this post today. I will certainly keep you both in my prayers. I have a sister who has been in end-stage renal failure for over 12 years and has a number of other health issues as well. Hang in there! Prayers for both of you!
