Went to a restaurant today. I am on my eighth day of Atkins. I asked for a nutrition list OMG! OMG! I almost DIED! This has really opened my eyes about what we eat. We were never a junk food family and I have only 20 lbs to loose but this has made me realize that this is about my family's HEALTH! Basically, an appetizer, entree, and desert there would have been roughly 6000 calories! Just cutting out carbs I have stayed between 400 - 800 calories. I eat the meats and veggies I like but I am by no means starving. I don't feel hungry except when my husband pulls out the chips and cheese dip at 10pm. :) I feel good, no longer weighed down. I have lost 8 lbs but I have seemed to stall, I think I will try to eat more calories. I am doing pilates. I did cheat today at the restaurant and had some soup that was higher than normal and HALF a small roll. My total carb count was around 40 when I usually stay way below 20. I hope I didn't ruin it, but my calorie count is still lower than 800. I'm going to keep working at it and hopefully I will see a few more pounds drop off this week.
