Two steps forward, one step back. Took the doggie in and he had a number of problems. His anal glands had a bunch of goo in them, yuck! He is apparently sensitive to flea and knat saliva. He got some shots and I need to bathe him more often, put special cream on problem areas, and put cortisone cream in itchy places.

I finally got around to assembling the Pergola with Canopy that we bought from Sears last month - the one that comes with instructions, tools, hardware and fabric - that didn't come with instruction, tools, hardware and fabric. I emailed Sears. The box is 170 lbs. (that is, if it had everything in it). I am waiting to hear back from them - hopefully Monday or Tuesday. That is so annoying. The guy on the sales floor said the only model they had was on display. We were going to get that one, and then another guy came back and said he had another one out back. So, they bring this one out that is all taped up. I should have known better, but I took it. I should have opened it up as soon as I got home and inspected it for content. I'm sure they robbed the one I have to complete the one on display. Nobody marked it or anything. It's times like these that I think you ought to be able to bend the rules on physically harming someone.

This fountain with pump, also on the patio, was getting kind of nasty with fungus and such. We had put a bromide canister in there, but we weren't circulating the water very often. It got green and nasty. It's one of those fairly large basins with a big raccoon pouring water into a bucket that overflows into the basin. Kind of cool looking. So I vacuumed out the water. Kept flushing it and vacuuming it out a few times. Scrubbed it with bleach and filled it back up, and put a couple of capfuls of bleach in it and let it run for a while.

I took a motorcycle ride. It was pretty hot and muggy outside, but I ended up putting a jacket on to make the trip back because it got kind of cold down in some of the hollows. It felt good to just get away and open up the throttle. Didn't hurt to make a little noise either.

Diet didn't go all that well, and I didn't have time to run. Maybe tomorrow. Things usually look better the next day. Toodles!
