Hi, well last Thur ate some carb I shouldn't have. This extended into Fri, Sat and Sun. I'm talking baked beans, McDonalds, Wendy's etc. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I saw the Dr last Thur. Told her my joints felt great and meds were working. Yesterday my feet and ankles were really hurting when I walked at all. Today my left hand and fingers are very painful. What changed? I think the carbs raised my inflammation level. Imagine, it happened after only 4 days of not eating correctly. Today I am back on protein and healthy carbs. We'll see how long it takes for the inflammation to diminish. I really didn't think the diet made that much difference in my arthritis. anybody else notice this happening with them?

Oh, ABSOLUTELY, Ruby. I have Lupus and that causes my joints to swell and hurt, and as long as I follow my low carb way of eating, I am fine, but let me slip, and WOW, it hits me like a sledge hammer. Hope that your swelling and pain go back down quickly!
