lovingmomma79's Journal, 17 July 2013

Last night was a rough night.. I SO wanted to snack on junk food but I held on strong and stuck with an apple, did my workout and then went to sleep to get some much needed rest. This morning was a much better start off.. took care of mine and my brother's animals, took a shower and then did my work out. Had a cup of cheerios with some reduced fat milk and then got some much needed house work done. Hung out with my daughter and we had some lunch. I had 1 cup of taco salad which was good and very fulfilling and even took my multivitamin with it. I have noticed that since I have started all of this I am becoming less hungry and definitely more active.. a lot of perks! I am planning on weighing myself for the first time since starting this diet on Saturday.. am nervous though.. I just never know on what the numbers will say but I hope they go down!

Looks like you are doing a great job Karen!! I have one little tip for you. Research artificial sweeteners. They are definitely not good for you. I got rid of my splenda over a year ago, and switched to Stevia in The Raw. Still a 0 calorie sweetener, but plant based, not artificial. Honey is a good alternative sweetener also, if you can get unprocessed local honey. I'm lucky that we have some bee keepers not far from us. Keep it up and have fun!!

oh wow.. that I didn't know about splendia.. is it really not all that good? I do have some honey here at home that I can add to my herbal and green tea to give it a little bit of sweetness! Thank you SO SO much for the health tip!

You are very welcome!! Just remember to be easy on the honey. It has lots of sugar carbs and calories like regular sugar, just better for you! If you can get that local unprocessed honey, it will help with any allergies you may have.
