Drsherard's Journal, 15 July 2013

I started South Beach and adhered to it strictly, but I didn't seem to get anywhere. I had continued many of the tenets of it since the first time I was on it about 6 years ago so I think I didn't get the immediate weight loss this time because I had stopped sodas, juices, refined sugars anyway and continued to read labels. So, I'm going to just limit my carbs, trying for only 20% a day, plus I need to eat fruit so that I can curb my sweet tooth. I'm going to incorporate the 5-2 eating plan. My 73 year old aunt does it since having that stomach ring deal, she is diabetic and her BS have been great her weight is stable between 150-153(she used to be in the 200's!)Nothing beats a failure but a try! Wish me luck!

well im only going to count calories and make sure i dont over the require amount for me to lose weight, i do realize muscle weigh more then fat,so the scale can say one thing and my clothes another,so i need to learn size more important then what scale says,i have seen people bigger then me,loose fat,big hanging bellys,(mines only hang a little haha) and they get on the scale and they are way less then me,so good luck to you dear and i know we can do it,whichever way we decide!!

Yes we can Jeannie! It still helps me to record what I'm eating/Journal and participate in some of the challenges. I like this site. There is a lot of support and encouragement from people in whatever stage of the process you are in. Very helpful(to me anyway)
