So, I'm really quick to get hungry and go into battle with the refrigerator...

In other words, I'm very likely to suddenly realize I'm hungry and then stand in front of the fridge for 20 minutes trying to decide what to eat.

By doing this, I get really hungry and usually just reach for the first (generally non-diet) thing that I see...

To prevent this, I've set a grocery shopping week that I'll stick to every day.

I've also done meal plans after researching and saving some really YUMMY recipes online and made my shopping lists.

This way, I don't get bored...I've always got something new to try.

I've also found low-carb substitutes for my favorites to give my will power more staying power...

It took alot of research and planning but this will make my diet so much easier.

I'm feeling very pro-active and positive just knowing that I'll be eating what I LIKE and still be LOSING weight!

Great attitude and approach to the whole diet thing!! Way to go. I know a lot of times, I'll sit around a go through some low carb recipes either on the internet, books, or tv and I'll write down the things I need from the grocery store so that I'll have my kitchen stocked with the things that I may need. It is much easier on Atkin's after you've learned how to substitute just about anything!!

I agree - planning is EVERYTHING when you're trying to lose weight. No more just "grabbing" when you're hungry. I find that trying a new recipe or two a week keeps me motivated and not bored with my food, too.
