Hsims3's Journal, 03 July 2013

So, I know this is probably not the best thing to do, but in addition to cutting back on food intake, and watching what I eat, I am also taking a pill to reduce my hunger. It's mainly to help kick start this new eating habit into gear.

What are y'all's opinion on this? Is taking a pill something I should continue until the bottle is empty or should I wing myself off of it when I feel comfortable that I can hold myself accountable?

I have not told anyone that I'm doing this diet. Usually, as soon as someone finds out, I get really self conscious and feel like they are watching me!! I don't really have someone that would just encourage me instead of saying, "aren't you on a diet?" This has happened so many times and I would rather no one know!

Any words of advice?

I guess my first question is "what's in the pill?" Some do more harm than good, especially if it's full of synthetic chemicals. You can get appetite suppressants from health food stores that are herbal, but again it doesn't necessarily mean it's healthy for you. As soon as you feel like you don't need the pill anymore, I would stop taking it though. No sense becoming dependent on it! :)

Personally, all natural is the way to go. It's worked wonders for me. I do take a lot of vitamins. If there's is one diet thing I take is: Green Tea Extract. It gives me so much energy and has changed my metabolism for the better. I find mine at target. Or you can order it online at Puritan's Pride - Buy one bottle, get TWO free!

The pill is called, "Forza Black 2012." Here are the ingredients.. Trimethylxanthine (Pure Caffeine) 220mg Bitter Orange (Whole Citrus Aurantium) 200mg Active-Rx® Green Tea Extracts (45% EGCG) 150mg L-Tyrosine 50mg Maral Root 50mg Guarana Seed 12mg Chromium 40mcg (100% RDA*) Dicalcium Phosphate (Binder) 400mg They say it's a pretty powerful appetite suppressant. Which is what I wanted and needed... I was getting to the point, my head thought I needed some sort of food every hour. I've been taking it since Monday morning and at first, I felt it hardly working. But now, after my third day, I can definitely tell it's working! I'm definitely keeping an eye on how it makes me feel. Especially with my mood, or if I ever got nauseated! As of right now, everything seems to be fine! Thanks for y'all's advice!

There is definitely a lot of caffeine in the pill... personally I don't think I could handle that much without getting very jittery and irritable. :) One way to suppress your appetite is to drink a glass of water when you get hit with a hunger pang. When our body is thirsty it hits us with the same type of feeling as hunger. If after 20-30 mins you still feel hungry then go ahead and eat, if not then you know you were just thirsty. :) Also, if you do have to eat, there is less room for food because your tummy is full of water -- which also aids digestion. :)
