Wayyy over on my calories today. I was doing fine until dinner, pasta salad. Stick a fork in me, I'm done. I'll just have to work out a little more than normal tonight.

Speaking of which, last night I ran for 5 1/2 minutes straight without stopping. When I started running just over 2 weeks ago, I could only run 2 minutes before I had to switch to walking. I'm excessively proud of myself for the improvement I've made. If I could keep my breathing stable, I'd be able to go on for so much longer. My muscles aren't giving out on me. It's my lungs. Hoping to hit 10 minutes straight within next 2 weeks or so.

Losing weight had gotten more important than ever. We recently got new insurance through my husbands work and they run biometrics on a yearly basis, including BMI. If me and my husband aren't in a healthy range we have to do a counseling course or our insurance goes up $100 a month. I knew this but we thought we didn't have to do it until next year. I had time. I read the paperwork last night. We have to do it by October 1st. I have to lose at least 15 pounds to be in the 'normal' range before then. Hoping for the best.

Wow that's great! I think with the way you're going, you'll be able to reach your running and weight loss goals soon enough! Just keep going! To help your muscles recover, try reducing your carbs a bit and increasing your protein :) It will help build muscle, and the only thing that burns fat is muscle! But I can see that you're doing awesome and keeping a low fat diet! Great job!
