I am doing a Fat Fast, drinking a Tablespoon of cream every hour and two a few times a day. I feel really good. I started last Wednesday so today is day 7 with no solid food. The First 6 days I drank about 1200 calories worth of EAS whey protein every day. I plan to do this for awhile and then switch back to a zero carb protein. I found at Netrition.

As I stated before I am doing a Religious fast and most of the people I know who do this drink fruit juice. The problem with that is the hunger and mood swings. When I drink Protein or Fat there is very little hunger and my energy is not what it is eating but is far better and more consistent than when I have drank Fruit Juice. This is the 5th 40 day fast I have done.

It is so much more than loosing weight. During this 40 days I am cutting out all TV and spending at least an hour praying and an hour a day memorizing scripture. I hope to be a new person at the end.

I have read and have experienced that Fasting is a good way to instill new habits in your life because it is such a major disruption. So for this fast these are the habits I hope to make a part of my life.

Pray at least 1 hour a day

Plan all meals a day ahead (working with my wife now on this one)

Work out everyday (I am not working out hard, just going through motions really)

Watch much less tv, none would be ok to, what does it really do for me?

187.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 27.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
