Day 1: 10 TO 30 POUNDS BY November OR BUST

So today we begin this challenge. I have said before I was a a little scared, but would it really be a challenge if I was not?

I started off right with a 35 minute decent speed walk today. I am not sure if it was really 3.5 miles/hr but it was certainly exercise and my muscles were/are tired. So it's a good start. I will actually be exercising 3 times my first week at this rate (fencing practice on Monday and Yoga on Thursday) which is good but I dunno if I will have time to keep that up in the following weeks. Twice/week I WILL do because I have NO intention of dropping out of the challenge. Anything more I will count as bonus calories burned LOL

As for eating, I am following my only rules. Mostly dealing with moderation in portions and pretty much everything else. This is based on the principles in Dr. Agatson's South Beach Diet, I just don't have the book out and can say I am strictly on Phase 1, 2 or 3

My goals are this. floor goal 13lbs by the end of the challenge this is the 1 lb per week required by the challenge plus a bonus lb to get me down to 250. It's a good milestone. Ceiling Goal is 28Lbs which would take me to 235. It will be simply awesome to go home to my parents for Thanksgiving weighing that much less. My mom has signed on here so she may or may not see but I think Dad would be happily surprised!! :)

Love the motivational verse.."I will form good habits and become their slave..." that is just awesome! So excited for you that you have some clearly defined goals...that helps so much, and as one who has finally hit the 235 mark after starting at 275 (and been that way for years) it is awesome.
