Wost aftershock so far after 3 this morning - it took me another 3 hours to even be able to doze off. Still terrified. Johnny and I held each other most of the night. I am sure the aftershock has worsened my parents place, they may end up having to come live here eventually.

Canterbury residents were kept awake by a series of strong aftershocks including one with a magnitude of 5.2 shortly before 11.30pm, one of 5.4 soon after, and another of 5.4 around 3.30am today.

and now they are saying they are still expecting a magnitude 6..... and that these aftershocks will go on for weeks. Please keep praying!

Diet wise - I am barely eating - its hard to when so stressed.

Squiggs, I am praying for you and your family. I am so sorry that you are going through this, but am also so grateful to God that He has protected you so far! And I know it is hard to eat when these things are going on, but try anyway, otherwise you may get ill. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily, Squiggs.

It must be terrifying! Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers to stay safe through this horrible experience. Hopefully it will be over sooner than they are expecting.

Those are pretty big aftershocks! No wonder you are all out of sorts. But please try to eat and sleep so that you don't add illness to your troubles. Taking care of yourself is important even in natural disasters. You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
