I am frustrated on this diet....I have cut around 2000-2500 calories a day on South beach. We spend numerous hours in the kitchen cooking to eat healthy. We go for walks. We are constantly busy/moving around, whether its yard work, grocery shopping, walking...you name it, we aren't typically sitting on our butts. I have been on this diet for 2 weeks and have lost from 7 pounds to now 5 pounds. Seriously?! That's it? I have cut back drinking..almost a beer or two everynight, to only drinking 1 night a week or two and not a lot of beer either (1-3). The pounds should be dropping drastically. We went from sharing whole pizza's to going out to eat almost on a daily basis. We've cut all of this...for 5 pounds? Now, i am tired of NOT doing what I want to do, eating what I want..I think if I would have seen more pounds falling off, I would feel different. I think I am pmsing :(.

Hang in there. Some people stall out in the beginning and then unexpectedly start losing later on. While some lose a bunch in the beginning and then stall for a while. Don't give up. I am sure you will see a drop soon. Are you journaling your food? That usually helps a lot and others can help you figure out what you may be eating that you shouldn't be.

i did not lose during the first two weeks...it comes off in spurts...when i go along time inbetween losses the weight seems to readjust itself and that is when i can tell a difference in the clothes...also with only 20 pounds to lose...those are the most difficult and the slowest...hang in there...if nothing else the learning to treat your body properly is worth it

5 pounds lost in 2 weeks is pretty good, actually. If you are eating out a lot, you're getting a lot of sodium which will make you retain water (as will alchohol). Drink lots of water, and try adding exercise that isn't part of your normal routine. A brisk 30 minute walk that gets your heart rate up will burn up more than the off-and-on walking from day-to-day stuff. Don't give up! Just make some adjustments and see what happens!
