Rebby816's Journal, 08 April 2013

Well, week one is down and I've lost 1 pound exactly. I was really hoping for more because I worked out for an hour two times and for the first three days of the week my diet was at 1500 calories. I was feeling really poorly and sick to my stomach and my doctor recommended I up my calories to at least 1800. I didn't want to do that because I wanted to lose as much as possible, but she said my body was probably panicking since it was used to almost 3000 calories a day and it would just try and store as much fat as possible since it was such a drastic change. So, I switched up the calorie intake and I have felt a lot better and it's a little more manageable. I've done a good job drinking more water and I'm feeling positive. Hopefully week 2 isn't such a struggle.

Hey, a pound is a pound is a pound. One pound lost is better than one gained. Congrats on that loss, you be proud! :) I'm glad you're feeling better since upping your calories. I just started recounting all my calories yesterday. I really struggled yesterday with feeling hungry. I ate about 1600 calories so I wasn't starving myself by any means, but I agree with your doctor. Our bodies were probably freaking out, lol. Panic mode! Eat or die! Haha. Today I'm feeling not as hungry, but still peckish...just want to nibble on stuff. I'm sure it will get easier with time. Are you following any sort of plan? I'm not, just counting calories, watching what I'm eating and getting active. :)
